Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern the relationship between Beautiful Neighbourhoods ("we", "us", "our") and clients who engage our services. By requesting a quote or booking a service, you agree to these terms.

Beautiful Neighbourhoods is operated by Julian and Saad, based in Pickering, Ontario. We serve residential properties in Pickering, Ajax and Scarborough.

Our Services

We provide residential lawn care and property maintenance services including lawn mowing, garden maintenance, yard maintenance, snow removal, property maintenance, landscaping and outdoor staging.

All services are for residential properties only. We do not service commercial or industrial properties.

We reserve the right to decline or discontinue service at our discretion, including where access to the property is unsafe or where payment obligations have not been met.

Quotes & Pricing

All quotes are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotes are based on information provided by the client and a visual assessment of the property.

Final pricing may be adjusted if the actual scope of work differs materially from what was quoted — for example, if a property has not been maintained for an extended period. We will always discuss any changes with you before proceeding.

Prices are in Canadian dollars and do not include HST, which will be added where applicable.

Scheduling

We schedule services based on availability and will confirm appointment windows with you in advance. While we do our best to arrive at the agreed time, factors such as weather or traffic may cause delays. We will notify you if we are significantly delayed.

We reserve the right to reschedule services due to unsafe weather conditions (e.g. lightning, ice storms, extreme heat). In these cases we will contact you to arrange an alternative time as soon as possible.

Recurring service schedules (e.g. weekly lawn care) may be adjusted at our discretion to account for seasonal conditions.

Payment

Payment is due within 14 days of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept e-transfer, cheque, and cash.

For new clients, we may require payment upon completion of the first service.

Overdue accounts may be subject to a late fee of 1.5% per month. We reserve the right to suspend services on accounts more than 30 days overdue.

Cancellation

You may cancel or reschedule a booked service with at least 24 hours' notice at no charge. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the quoted service cost.

For recurring service agreements, either party may terminate the arrangement with 14 days' written notice.

We reserve the right to cancel a service booking at any time. In this case, you will not be charged and we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule.

Liability

We take great care with every property we service, but accidents can happen. Our liability for any damage caused by our team is limited to the cost of the service performed, unless the damage results from gross negligence or wilful misconduct on our part.

We are not liable for pre-existing damage, damage caused by hidden hazards (such as underground utilities not marked by the client), or damage resulting from normal wear of aged materials.

We carry general liability insurance. A certificate of insurance is available upon request.

We are not responsible for damage caused by extreme weather events before, during or after service.

Your Property

By booking our services, you confirm that you are the property owner or have the authority to authorise work on the property.

Please ensure the work area is clear of obstacles, pets and personal belongings before our arrival. We are not responsible for damage to items left in the work area.

For snow removal services, please ensure driveways and walkways are accessible and that any vehicles are moved prior to the agreed service time.

Please notify us of any underground utilities, irrigation systems, or other features we should be aware of before we begin work.

Contact & Disputes

If you have a concern about a service we have provided, please contact us within 5 business days and we will do our best to resolve it promptly.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. Any disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties may be referred to small claims court in Durham Region.
